In the 1990s, neighbors saved Wealthy Theatre from demolition, giving new life to the Wealthy Theatre District.
CMC evolved this historic landmark into one of the most technologically advanced performing arts centers of its kind. A "community use" venue, Wealthy Theatre is content neutral, helping bring a wide diversity of concerts, culture and conversations to our stages and studios.

The Dance Attack Showcase
The Dance Attack is a four day dance intensive taught by Hollywood's hottest dancers and choreographers. The conclusion of the intensive is a one hour showcase of the pieces learned. The Meanwhile Film series kicks off September with the cult classic "Repoman."

Jake's Music Festival
Jake’s Music Festival is a combination of great music and a great cause. For the fourth consecutive year, local bands will get together for a concert to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Festival was started by Tom and Mary Scheidel of Rockford and named for their son Jake, who was diagnosed with Type 1 or juvenile diabetes 11 years ago when he was only six.
